Mark Farley has been active in the recovery fellowships for almost 30 years. Mark found his Spiritual connection and his sobriety through the Salvation Army ARC program in 1991. They helped him to get back on his feet and begin putting his life back together. Mark wound up going back to school to get his Drug and Alcohol Counseling Certificates and went through the Salvation Army’s Adjutant program to earn a Pastoral certification. He worked at the Salvation Army for 3 years running their Drug and Alcohol Rehab program and managing the homeless shelter in Sacramento California. Mark has a passion for helping others to overcome their addictions and afflictions as well as working with the homeless.

Dave has been working as a Registered Dietitian (RD) since 2013. He started in hospital care, then became a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician to better support patients unable to eat by mouth. After moving, he began working in a bariatric clinic, addressing Weight Management, Emotional Eating, and Sugar Addiction.
Dave has been the consulting RD for Renascent, a drug, alcohol, and now food treatment program in Toronto for Canadian women since 2015.
He is a Board Member for The Food Addiction Institute (FAI) and serves as Co-Chair for its Webinar Committee, editing and managing bi-monthly food addiction webinars for the FAI YouTube Channel.
Graduating from the first class of the International School for Food Addiction Counseling and Treatment (INFACT), Dave became certified as a Food Addiction Counselor (FAC) through the Nordic-Baltic Regional Certification Board. Theresa Wright, MS, RD, LDN, is the founder and Director of Renaissance Nutrition Center, Inc. near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
AS NUTRITION THERAPIST, registered and licensed dietitian and nutritionist, Theresa has worked with people struggling with compulsive eating, obesity, eating disorders, weight loss, and food addiction and helped them deal sanely and effectively with their food, eating, and body weight issues for more than 36 years.
Most acclaimed for her individual and global success with thousands of clients who have improved their lives after working with her to create and maintain successful eating and recovery programs, often in consultation with their own physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
Under her direction, Renaissance Nutrition Center, Inc. was developed to provide programs and services to help people develop the skills, tools, and lifestyle changes that lead to freedom from self-destructive food behaviors. Esther Helga Gudmundsdottir, MSc. is founding Founding Director of the MFM Food Addiction Treatment Center, a treatment center for food addictions and eating disorders in Reykjavik, Iceland. As the Director of INFACT, the International School for Food Addiction Counseling and Treatment she has offered training and clinical supervision to many new and veteran food addiction counselors. Her specialties include sugar, food addiction, eating disorders, codependency, and other addictions like love, work, and debt. Esther is also a certified Hypnotherapist that focuses on trauma-based regression and therapy for addictions, trauma, and anxiety. Mary Foushi holds a degree in Human Services with a specialization in Addiction Studies. Phil Werdell, MA, was a college teacher and innovator in liberal arts and graduate education for 25 years. After finding recovery from late-stage food addiction, he became a lead counselor at Glenbeigh Psychiatric Hospital of Tampa’s residential food addiction program and Rader Institute of Washington’s outpatient eating disorders program. Mr. Werdell is cofounder of ACORN Food Dependency Recovery Services and the Food Addiction Institute. He has written eight books on food addiction including “Physical Craving and Food Addiction: A Review of the Science.” Phil’s most recent writing is a second edition of the Disease Concept of Food Addiction. He is currently working on a summary of outcome evaluations of food addiction treatment and a three-volume set of books on food addiction denial.
